About me:
My handle is Vragor, which is an Orcish sounding equivalent of Valder, a character in one of my favorite books.

I live in Colorado Springs and program for Fluke Networks. I'm a 4 year transplant from Phoenix/Mesa. Fluke had to pay $200 million dollars to buy the company I work for just to get me (at least that's what I think). I don't drink so I'm the defacto designated driver on most business dinners or trips.

I've had many hobbies over the years from Boating, Water Skiing, Private Pilot with my own plane, Pen Turning, 4 wheeling (70 Bronco), hiking, horseback riding, geo-caching, spelunking, fishing, hunting, skeet shooting, slow smoke BBQ, and allot of others. (I've never really golfed).

Last year 2 different friends visited from AZ and both bugged me about buying a bike and going on some rides with them. Finally around Thanksgiving I decided I really would like to ride. I took the MSF course in between blizzards and started test riding bikes. I even took a day off and rented for a day from Pike's Peak Harley. $100 (including insurance) got me a 8-5 rental on 4 different bikes. I rode about 300 miles all together on a Sportster 1200, Street Bob, Softail Heritage Classic, and a Road King. I really liked the Softail but no way was I paying $16,000.

I continued testing and looking and eventually settled on a blue VTX 1300R because it really felt good to ride, looked great, great price, and Honda quality.

I spend most of my work time with tight deadlines, crammed schedules, and constant emergency interruptions, so my hobbies have always been something to decompress and relieve the stress. I've already come to enjoy a slow meander up highway 83 for lunch, gawking all the way. I especially love putting around Garden of the Gods at 10 miles an hour and stopping to just look.

My new motto is "The journey IS the vacation".
