I have
been riding on the Bridgestone BT020R Battlax
200/60VR-16 on the rear a 130/70ZR-18 on the front for
almost 10,000 miles now.
I run 40
psi in the front and 42 psi in the rear tire and the
wear has been exceptionally good.

I have
found that cornering was substantially better than the
stock tires... (if that could be considered a good thing
to say). I never ride 2 up so this is based solely on
myself.
I do have
the upgraded fork springs and rear shocks. I have no
speed issues up to 195
(Ok, I lie a little).
However... here is the bad part. During the 2006 July
4th ride we had a little "dampness". More than once on
sweeping turns at roughly 50 to 60 MPH the rear tire
unexpectedly cut loose taking me back to my high-school
motocross days! Not fun.
These
tires are excellent on dry roads and fine to a point on
wet roads... but there is a thin line you will find on
the wet road where they simply "let go" without much
warning.
Just my observations.
The current price for the
130/70ZR-18 front tire is $107 and the 200/60VR-16 is
$147
