Cottonwood Pass Ride
July 28th, 2007
This is
not the normal Cottonwood pass route.
No
straight down and back for us.
For this Ride we have a very special route in mind.
Something a bit different to get a change of scenery.
Plan and
Timeline
Northern
Riders:
Topped off with fuel and good to go
leaving
the Morrison Conoco at 8:30 am
heading
out 285 to pick up the Southern riders at
Pine Jct. CO
Southern
Riders:
Leaving I-25 & Garden of the God's exit
7:15 am going through Woodland Park over Horsepower
Hill meeting the Northern Riders at Pine Jct. CO
Northern
and Southern Riders
meeting at Pine Jct. 9:00 am
Southern Riders should top off with fuel at Pine Jct.
Leaving Pine Jct. @ 9:15 am heading out Hwy. 285
to Buena Vista arriving around 10:50 am. Topping off
with fuel and then heading for 713 South Hwy. 24
Bongo Billy's Buena Vista Cafe
After
lunch, leaving around 12:00 pm down Hwy. 24
to our destination of
Cottonwood Pass
At the
summit we stop, take a group picture and
enjoy the view. Around 1:00 pm we return to
Buena Vista, take Hwy. 24 to Divide and Woodland Park.
Arriving
at Woodland Park around 3:10 pm we
top off with fuel, say goodbye to the Southern Riders.
The Northern Riders take Hwy. 67 to Deckers, over
Horsepower Hill, Pine and Hwy. 285 for the last leg
of the ride arriving at the Morrison Conoco around 5:15

Driving Time: 6 Hrs. 10 minutes
